Fein And Tax I D Number

HI Everyone,
Well it's me again,2 part question: First in private investing do I
need a FEIN or FEN not sure of speeling
Number?It stands for FEDERAL EMPLOYEE__NUMBER?2 Do I need or should
I get a TAX I D number for business use
so that I pay no tax on Items purchased?

    How are you going to operate your business? If you chose to be a sole proprietor, you may not need a EIN. If you want to establish an LLC or S-corp, you will be required to have a EIN for that entity.
    I would recommend talking to a CPA, and discussing your goals / plans for your business. An attorney can help you set up a business entity.
    I recall reading a good article on this site several months ago that compared the different business entities. You can do an article search to find it.
    If you do decided to get an EIN, it can be done quickly by going to IRS website and requesting, or even filling out online, the Form SS-4.
