Extra Letter On Owners Name On Deed...

I got paperwork signed on a prop this weekend. I prepared everything myself and had no problems with them. Trouble is I came home and looked over the deed and I noticed that I added an extra letter to the persons middle name on it. Example,

John Hendersons Doe instead of John Henderson Doe...

Will this be a problem? I do have a LPOA signed for the couple.

Oh... and second typo... On the LPOA is had "kicked" the numbers (ex, 123 main was actually 213 main) and I put one line through it, wrote the proper address and had them both sign. Is this thing going to be ok?

I'm leaning to the idea of calling them both up (divorced) and letting them know I had a typo or two and send them an overnite package with the corrected docs and have them handle it and send them back. (out of state)

    have them resign another one.

for future reference, have all the pages you make changes to the front pages, and the pages they sign the last page.

that way, you won't have to go through this again if you make a typo. you could just change the front pages or whatever, and still have their notarized signatures.

Thank you. I typed everything up from my laptop, printed it out and rushed out the door to meet them so I had everything typed up when I met them there.

When you posted I had an military flashback to the tune of a "No *beep* Shirlock!" being sounded off in my ear.

It's a 3 page deed with 1 of the pages notarized which means I can reprint the other page after correcting the typo.

Thanks for helping me see the tree in the forrest.[ Edited by saniche on Date 06/27/2004 ]
