Do You Need A Closing To Get A Note Assigned?

I am in the process of getting a note assigned and was wondering if I should go through a closing for this.

Searched Google but not much out there on Notes besides solicitations it seems

    No closing is required.

All you need is a recordable document that indicates the the note has been assigned to you. The assignor usually indicates the original amount of the note, original date, the book/page the note was recorded and the identity of the asignee.

In Florida a recordable document has the signature of a person authorized to assign, 2 indepedent witnesses and a notary. One of the witnesses can be the notary.

Then you should record the assignment.
