Direct Mail Vs Visit

The pre-foreclosure arena of investing is very competitive. I think almost every investor is marketing to the pre-foreclosure sellers. My question is what do you all think is the most effective between direct mailing versus actually visting the homeowner. Visiting homeowners you would think is more effective but is it so much more effective to compensate for the time involved, the rejection, and at times the hostility. Any help and opinions is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

So, are you not buying anymore? Did you get stuck with inventory to ride out with? I ask this because I am in FL and I am still buying and I have inventory that I am selling no matter what and you have more exp than me and I have never been through this before.

I took that to mean he is doing great and everyone else should stay away... I almost took it seriously until he got to the fat and lumpy part
