Detroit Apartments, Need Help

I need help from investors/property owners in the detroit area. My wife is going to U of D for a summer law program (3mos) and we need to set her up with an apartment in/near downtown.

We are looking for something cheap/safe neighborhood and that will be willing to do a 3 month lease.

Me/her know nothing about detroit area and what/where we should be looking. Any advice or pointers in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

Moderators: I know this is a bit off topic, but figured I would ask for some help from other investors on the board.

There are also some very nice apartments for rent near U of D near McNichols. The exact address I believe is 15681 Baylis. The area on John R near I-75 are managed by Crosswinds. Very nice area and safe.
