Dealing With Moving Or Reducing Leins...

I currently have a deal signed up where the house is paid for but has 2 liens, one is a federal tax lein, and the other is an old folks home judgement (So the seller says). I'm have a partner thats going to do a title search either today or tommorow to confirm the sellers story.

Whats the likelyhood that these kinds of leins can be reduced or just moved from the property?

Anyone have any expeirence with these kinds of liens?
