Hecht's/May Company Dergoatories
Off and on over the last few years, I've have been trying to get the Hecht Company to change my derogatory info. I had been involved in a credit counseling service that was making my payments. I had 2 Hecht's accts. The service paid them late and paid the wrong amounts to the incorrect accounts.
As a result, Hechts is showing me as being late 150 days (!) on both accounts. This is NOT true. Despite my please with them they have not budged (I even disputed it on my credit reports). The bills have been paid off for several years but the derog is pulling down my score.
Any ideas/suggestions?
Every 60 days or so, dispute a different aspect of the TL you want to see vanish. Either the OC or the CRA will eventually tire and relent. Alternatively, you could try a nutcase letter to the OC, then follow up 30 days later with a dispute to the CRA, hoping the OC will become chary of responding to the CRA with respect to your account.
