credit inquiries
Everyone knows that credit inquiries can knock your credit score...
Well yesterday I called Experian because I had questions on a few of my inquiries - the person said they would look into it - she disputed like 10 of them - and today - every single one she disputed is gone - even the ones that belong there.
Now I don't know if I just got a nice person or what, but today my credit score went up 5 points as a direct result.
So for those of you looking to improve your score... this may be another little option.
Do you have their number?
Everything I can find about the credit agencies does not have a phone number. All say to write them.
I have a credit score of 702 but a mortgage broker who is doing a cash-out refi on one of my rentals is using Fair Issacs number of 664. This is caused by too many inquiries, which was brought on by a broker I fired in December when he dragged his heals on a deal.
Thanks.

I have 888-972-5722 I think that is for experian - only number I have
Another good way is to dispute the hard inquires just like you would a credit listing. These are the easiest to get off your report do to the fact that they arent worth the time to verify
In my first article for this website, I listed all of the numbers that you will have to call.
Drifter, I have always disputed everything and it has helped my credit score dramatically.
Here is the article on Credit Reports

You can find the numbers on the website for the Credit Bureau, and you can also dispute online...
When you dispute everything on your credit report does it simply take it off the report or does it erase the debt to the companies as well? Seems to me that escaping rightful debt by making a phone call is a little underhanded but hey if it just improves your report...
