Credit Repair And Your County Tax Man.
Can anyone tell me if I can use the cancelled checks from my monthly payments to the lease holder to better my credit with county tax man. I was told I can take them down to the tax asessor and they will put them on my credit report for every month we paid the mortgage to this guy. (he never reported them to our credit reports) and we are having trouble building the required credit we need to finance this house we are on a land contract with. Next, we had an agreement with him in the last 2 years that we would put the funds from the mortgage payment into the house in lieu of payments to him. There was extensive damage from a storm and also undisclosed problems from the prior seller that he was not aware of due to not doing a preappraisal. Now we want to buy the house (excersise our option) but he never did his part with the credit bureaus. Hope this is understandable
