Credit Card Removing Late Pay
Hi, I accidently paid the wrong amount to one of my credit cards--i paid below what was due that month--I called them and since I have had goog history with them, they agreed to contact credit bureau and have late removed...they said they will send letter to credit bureau and myself....do I assume the credit bureau will handle this accordingly or will this come back to haunt me a year from now .....do I need to contact the credit bureau?
Give the bank 30 days or so to clear this up meanwhile keeping the letter that they sent you handy. If it is not cleared up after 30 days send all credit bureas a copy of the letter that the bank gave you with a brief description requesting removal of the 30-day late. The key is getting the bank to send "you" a letter verifying removal!
