Courthouse Questions

I made my first trip to the court house and had little to any idea what to look for.

I would like to find lis pendens bankruptcy notices, and divorce. You know...the thinga that can generate leads.

Would I need to pay anyone at the court house to view these notices? Where would I need to look?

I felt like Willy Wonka getting lost in the chocolate factory.

All the public information at the courthouse is available to whoever asks and free of charge. Most courthouses have an information booth or a guard - you just need to stop people and ask. You may be sent from place to place initially - I was - but eventually you will find the right room/department. Some detective work on your part will be required.

Also, find out if these notices get published in a local paper - that way you can avoid going to the courthouse alltogether.

    Good luck.

Would the country recorder have what I"m looking for? Like the bankruptcy notices, lis pendens, and divource notices?

I went to the courthouse today and the one person I asked had no clue what I was talking about.
So I looked online and may have found what I was looking for.
