Country Wide Stipulates Two Months Listed?
on a recent short that we were putting together the loss mitt. rep at country wide said that the property must be listed for two months for them to entertain short offers. has any one else been told this and is there away around it? are they just bluffing? any help would be great. thanks
I'm currently working with Country-wide as we speak.
The loss mit-rep I've been speaking with hasn't made mention of a two month listing period. It's not even in the short sale criteria that was sent out with the paperwork. I will be submitting paperwork this week.

we didnt even get to submitt the paperwork, they basically said that the property must be listed for two months before they will even entertain an offer.
so did they tell you that they would entertain your offer? if so they might have just been bending my ear. they also didnt ask you for a listing agreement in the packett to send them?
I merely contacted loss midigations dept. and informed them that the homeowner was interested in a short sale.
I inquired about the process and what needed to be done in order to go forward.
They sent out the short sale information package which in no way states that property must be listed for two months.
Is the property insured by FHA?
Maybe that makes a difference. The property I'm dealing with is FHA insured.
