Contacting Countrywide REO - HELP

Hey guys just signed up for this site and hoping someone here can help me out. I recently contacted a FSBO who was about to go into foreclosure so I submitted an offer to his Trustee that was accepted after much frustration. Now while the home was under contract and less then 10 days from closing…. Countrywide foreclosed on the home. My buyers still want the home and I have had no luck in getting a contact name/number for a person at Countrywide REO department. The home is not a HUD home and it foreclosed less then 5 days ago in Houston, TX. Where can I get a number that I can actually talk to someone at Countrywide REO? When I speak to the Trustee they are no help, and in fact tell me that after the home forecloses they have no involvement anymore.

Thanks RO

This has nothing to do with Countrywide in particular, but whenever I have issues getting to the correct department, I simply press 0 for the operator and ask. If they still transfer you to the wrong department, ask that department for the direct number before they transfer you. HTH!

Yea I ended up getting a hold of the listing realtor that was assinged the home by the bank. Now we have to wait at least 30 days before it will be listed, as they first have to evict the person who is still living in the home. Huge pain in the ass!

    Thanks for all replies!

Yes, the new Bankruptcy Law will stop the foreclosure sale from proceeding as scheduled.

But now you have a new set of rules to follow, or your BK filing is dismissed and the foreclosure sale is rescheduled.

Would the person on the mortgage/note have to file the Chapter 13?
Or would the person on the deed be the one to file?

Either one will stop / delay the foreclosure sale.
