Competition From America's Choice - FSBO Helpers?

Hi. I was wondering what any of you know about America's Choice. For about a $1700 flat fee they will teach you how to sell and market (partly on their site) your house.

What kind of effect will/has this had on your SUB-TO investing...if any?

Thanx.

    bth126,

When you think about it there are plenty of outfits like this one, some charge $500 Help U Sell and such. These programs only make the seller super motivated.

So when the FSBO finds out this doesn't work who they gonna call?

Of course, JohnLocke knows his stuff!!! and I agree with his thoughts. Something inexplicable happens to individuals in foreclosure that can only be compared to paralysis. Even if there is a low cost option (and there are many, as mentioned by JL), they are unable to act on them. If a RE Agent becomes involved, they will push them to hold out until it is too late. As JL stated, they will most likely still require the solution only we as RE investors can provide. So..... don't worry about it

    bth...

A lot of properties that are listed with realtors are motivated sellers that have got caught in the realtors web. On average, properties take 3 months to sell. A lot of homeowners don't have that much time to hope they sell their house.

If the seller is a motivated seller and they pay $1700 or 6% they are still motivated. You just have to get to them and show them how you can help them solve their problem.

    Bth126,
Put your 1700 into one of your own deals and make far more off of it than that. They are just another outfit looking to prey on the people who are not sure or are just looking to get this going out of sheer luck If you really want to invest, read and ask questions on this site and you will be much further ahead in the end, and you will still have your 1700. This is the best thing going for the new investors. Just look at the numbers of people joining the site on a daily basis. I know there is a reason for it. For the price, this is the best thing going. Good luck
