Where do I go to find Comparable sales on a property?

    It is best to have an appriser do a pencil on a property you are trying to buy. They do a pencil before they go out to the appraisal on the property. They don't charge for that.

    If you have a real estate agent whom you work with, they should be able to provide this information for you. You may also be able to access some info. from your local clerks office, which may be on the internet depending on where you are. I think that a Comparable Sales Analysis from an agent is your best bet, because they can provide you a list of the sales price of homes similar to your property, how long they were on the market, etc.

    what do you mean by ask the appraisal to do a pencil? is that a preliminary appraisal before the official appraising?
    would you mind explain that.
