Cinder Block Vs. Poured Concrete?
i wasn't sure where to post this question, but this seemed right. It is a good bet to purchase a home with a cinder block foundation? I've heard that it has a much better chance of cracking. Any input would be great. Thanks.
I have done concrete up north and brick and block foundations here in the south.
Both are acceptable as long as they are done properly and by code.
Cracks occur for various reasons. Serious cracks typically occur because the foundation was not designed properly.
Improper grading can also attribute to the problem.
