Chicago Sub 2ers!!

Hello,

I am a John Locke student and just moved to Chicago. Wondering if their are some sub 2 investors out there that are located in the subarbs that are having success and that would like to brainstorm a little on some things.

One more question, who is ordering all of the snow?

    Hi Josh,

I emailed you the DMS info on the zip code you requested.

Also sent you a link to find snow shovels so you can have some fun with the white stuff.

Get yourself a blade for your pickup truck and a pair of jumper cables. You'll be able to pay all cash for your investments. Stay of Dan Ryan Exprwy it's a parking lot in this kind of weather.

New to the area, but already know of the Dan Ryan disasters.

I like the Blade idea, but don't know if it would be feasible on my 1977 Pink Volkswagen Beetle, I may tip over. I will probably give it a shot, though,.... any way to make a couple of bucks.

    Thanks,

    Hi Josh,

I am also a John Locke's student and proud to be part of the Cash Now program. I just started recently and more than happy to brainstorm. Maybe you can help me with Sub2 and I can trade you with some REI info in the Chicagoland area.

I live in Lisle which is not too far from Aurora, PM me if you can brave the snow.

    Josh,
Aurora Illinois? My old stomping grounds.
I know it well, quite well.
I used to buy my fair share of Fox Valley Real Estate, and yes, sub2.

While I'm not a Locke student, I am a fan and would consider him a friend and colleague.
You are in good hands there.

Just wanted to drop in after seeing your location and say "Stay warm and avoid the roverboat casinos".

Also, if you ever want to ask specific questions about the market where you are.........shoot.
I have not been gone that long, and do miss that thriving RE market to some extent.
Not the snow though, you can keep that.........I like my sunshine.

Anyway, take care, and enjoy, you are really in a good place to invest.

Tons of newer properties to buy, and some in demand older stuff too.
Just stay away from school district 131 (East side of Aurora for the most part.........true east side, not out by the mall.) for initial investments, unless you are fliiping.
That is one area that definitely can make you money, but certainly not as easy as the places with sought after schools.

    Good luck to you,
    Jim

    JimFL,

It is great to see you here at TCI, your expertise needs no introduction and your willingness to share with others goes without saying.

Fellow members of this community, Jim is a Harley Davidson rider but not a "Hog" when it comes to sharing his creative investing knowledge, a very welcome sight on this site.
