You are correct that the commission does belong to my Broker but I currently work for a flat-fee Broker so as long as I write up the contract with that flat fee in place for the commission he will still be receiving the same as he would get on any other transaction. Again, this is another upfront fee that I need to cover along with the processing and handling fee. I hope to open my own Brokerage in the near future but I think for now I can get his approval to write contracts this way provided I develop a way to make sure everything is being done legally.
Why would anyone give you 50% ownership for a 3% potential stake?
