Buying A Home In FL
Formed an LLC to buy properties, rent short-term then turn over. Now in contract on our first property, I am told we have to title it in each of 3 LLC members names due to lack of longevity of the partnership. Can the benefits and limited liability protection of the LLC be gained in this fashion, and must the insurance be bought under the LLC name? I was of the impression we buy as individuals on the mortgage and title, then quit-claim the title to the LLC, with insurance in the individuals' names. Am I far off-base?
