Buyer Looking For One Property
I'm living in the Lexington KY area and I just want to buy a single family home property at a discounted price. Is a preforeclosure a good way to buy one?

yes, or probate, though in either case there might be fix up and repair work needed
You might also merely enquire from your local Real Estate Brokers if they have any bargains. Sometimes they do. Another interesting source is in the publication of local liens put on properties. A builder is not paid and he liens. A carpenter is annoyed and he liens. These are in many instances evidence of a Property Owner getting ready to throw his hands in the air and wish to get rid of a headache. Sometimes the first listing of delinq. taxes. A really good source to generate the baby 2nds and 3rds which allow the homeowner to catch up the back taxes. There is the Big BK, hanging around the courthouses and reading case files is a kick and an excellent source
I got a lovely log cabin one dark and stormy night just playing poker. He wanted to throw it into the game for a set sum and nobody would do it. So I put up the funds and took a deed on the cabin. You should have seen the notaries face when he saw the instrument that he was notarizing. Funny. Bit ragged and smudgey but it recorded and I owned a cabin sight unsee. On a government leasehold. How about that. To communicate with your neighbors you had to learn Bear Talk. I loved it. Tried very hard to get a Coyote to shake hands, nevah hoppin. Would lick my ear. Sick animal.

I'm a little confused about this post. Where can you get a publication that lists leins on properties? What is the big BK? Did you really get a coyote to lick you?

If you find out about the listing for property liens, I'd love to know about them also.
