Buy And Hold Recommended Reading

hi everyone

I was going to put this in the buy and hold section but there isn't one! So I figured here would be a decent place.

Anyway, I really want to get into buy and hold real estate investing. Let's just say I have plenty of time to let the properties get paid off and I am patient.

What is recommended reading for this type of real estate strategy? I've read a couple books but that is it. I haven't done those expensive seminar things and don't want to.

Basically is there a good source of info on this strategy anywhere?

Thanks!

Read Buy and Hold by David Schumacher. Take courses in property management at local R.E. training centers and community colleges. Familiarize yourself with local tenant-landlord laws, and get a good lease. Join your local apartment association. Read the Rental Property book by Susan Thomas. Get a case of Rolaids.Decide on your entity structure so you don't get sued out of business. Don't believe everything everyone will tell you about what you should be doing.

Get "landlording" by leigh Robinson. People on this site swear by it. I am reading it currently but have three books going at once so I haven't gotten too far...smile

Also check out the "property management/landlording" forum on this site. I think that might be what you are looking for.
