Business Cards
I have a company who can give me business cards at 100 dollars for 5,000, and 175 for 10,000. Also flyers 10,000 for 215. I was wandering if this is good. I know there work and they do not care how much art or color, this is the price.
mtpgoat,
I would say that is a good price, but are you sure you want 5000 cards and decide you want something different on them and still have 4000 left? I do my own till I get a design and message that works best for my area and then I will consider quantity. Good luck!!
I use a two sided card with a photo finish on it. I like nice cards an people seem to hold onto the nicer ones a little longer.
I have never been real impressed with the do it yourself type. Maybe it is because my printer setup is not up to snuff? ANyway, most that I see appear cheap

Right on the money. Stick with 500 or so. It may have a higher CPU, but it's better than being stuck with 4000 cards you no longer want to use.
Get some card Avery cardstock at staples and flesh out some layout designs. While looking at an image on a screen is nice, being able to run off a sheet and look at an actual card is much, much better. After you decide on a layout (or two, many investors use more than one type of card) you can then pursue professional printing.
For some ideas, check out the lengthy discussion I began a while back:

Hope it helps. Good luck.
You can get free business cards at vistaprint. just do a google search on that name and click on the link to 250 free cards. That will let you try something out. The gimmick? on the back of the card, in very small print, at the bottom, it says get free business cards at vistaprint.
