Building Spec With ICF
Has anyone used Arxx or Eco-Block in their new construction projects? I'm debating using one of the two in lieu of a traditional poured foundation, even more so now that the winter is upon us.
Any thoughts, experiences, etc. I would appreciate anything you can share!

I helped build an ICF foundation this summer. It was very slow and time consuming and it's too early to see the long term benefits.
If you plan on hiring out all the work AND finishing the basement, you may have a cost savings. If you plan to place the styrofoam blocks yourself you can save money only if you don't value your time.
I don't have much other imput unless you have something specific that I can maybe answer for you.
Thanks for the info. I definitely plan on finishing the open basement, and I definitely don't do the work myself. I learned a long time ago to leave the construction of it to the subs.
I thought using ICF would help accelerate the curing time without needing to use additives for a winter pour.
