Besides plywood, any strategies to keep the glass in the window frames until a tenant moves in when rehabbing in less than perfect neighborhoods? I would love to hear them.[ Edited by jhgraves on Date 09/24/2003 ]
My constractor came up with a good idea... plexiglass box tops....
He built a box top style cap to cover windows...hooks at the top which wont be exposed and a rebar slide stick at the bottom..like a cryptanite bar... and lock for the bottom in a trap box...
sounds wild but it worked great ..used scrap material and havent had any problems since using it...
Use plexiglass. Should be to find at your near by Lowes.
Thanks for the idea. I have experimented with plexiglass and haven't been very successful with finishing off the edges. Any ideas?
