Bought Land At Tax Sale Now What?
Hello All:
I bought some land at a tax sale in georgia in November. My year is about up however I wanted to do a little more researching beforehand. The land I bought is in a subdivison cul de sac. Most cul de sacs in a subdivison has three to four homes, however this one only has 2 homes to the side and a huge lot right in the middle of it. The land alone is worth $65,000 and the homes in that culdasac are worth $300,000.
My plan is not to sell the land but to build a house there and sell it. My problem is why would the builder not build a house there? The house next to that land owned it but did not pay the taxes on it. I have already gone to the court house and got the plat maps on the land.
Where do I go to find out if I can build on the property? Or to find out if a home can even be built there?
