Would This Be Wise?
Hey guys/gals before I ask my question I would like to comment that this site is great. I have been reading everything on the site, and in a short period of time I have acquired a wealth of knowledge. My question is what should my first investment property be. I am leaning towards a duplex, because it takes care of two problems at one time. I am not a homeowner, and I want to learn first hand what it is like to own investment property. My problem is I only live in the US 3months a year because of my occupation. In my opinion this would make it extremely difficult to keep track of my investment. At the same time this is the perfect time to invest , because of my very low debt to income average. What do you think? Also, is anyone in my situation in this forum? Thank you
