Land Contract, Contract for deed, Wrap around Mortgage are all pretty much the same thing using what ever local nomenclature is common for your area.
Essentially, it is an agreement involving the purchase of real estate over a specified period of time. When the terms of the agreement have been fulfilled, the buyer gets the deed/title. Not before.
