Burned Down Home - How Long?
I was wondering if there is anyway to find out the laws on how long you can leave a property that has burned down. Basically I am buying a property from someone whose home burned down recently in hopes of flipping it but I am not sure how long it will take. Does anyone know if most towns have policies that state exactly how long you have until a property that is damaged neededs to be torn down and fixed? If so who would I contact to find out?
Thanks
a couple resent "Property Ladder" & flip this or that house dealt w/ rebuilding burnt homes.
In both case they had to deal w/ "condemnations" from the city for nuisance abatement.
In your case, the seller is willingly selling you his property. Why should the city get involved? I would be concerned w/ the insurance company is any.
The delay would be the "same" as to flip a non-burned house.
