Hi. I am new to this birddog field and would like to know if any birddogs have actually been paid for their leads? If so, roughly how much can a birddog actually make? Please advise. Thank you.
I have never been paid a fee. I would however pay at least $500 for a good lead that closed and if there were other services such as tracking down the owner, comps, title search etc. a lot more. If I was looking at 30K return in 4 months I would offer a flat fee at closing when I bought and an additional split when I sell.
I offered 3K on one a couple of months ago.

I have paid 2 fees. One for 500 and one for a thousand. When I can make 20k within 1 year with no risk at all (subject to home) then I will gladly pay those fees...
I am doing a lot of marketing. When doing a short sale I have an investor who gives me 7% of the equity up front. And 30-50% of the profit after the sale. I have other responsibilities besides just birddogging though.
