Someone who is tapped into their market, knows what makes a deal worth pursuing and is able to drive leads (deals) to other investors/wholesailers.

This term and its definition needs to be added to the TCI encyclopedia

In my opinion a birddog sniffs out deals. Does not need to know very much except to look both ways before crossing the street. Just a joke. I have some friends of my son looking for boarded up houses etc and they are pizza delivery guys and know nothing about REI.

    Good LUCK and Thank You
    Hope this helps some

Birddog is someone who find the deals his investor is looking for and take the leads to them for a fee. The birddog knows what his investor will and won't purchase. A good birddog is worth teaching, keeping and paying well!![ Edited by pejames on Date 02/03/2004 ]

I am looking for someone in the Chicagoland area who is looking for a birddog. I want to learn more, is there anyone willing to teach?

I have been doing birddogging for a few years and have had great success. I typically get 3k for a SFH and 5k for multi. The biggest thing you have to do is get your investors lined up and ready to go. The best day I had was a 22k deal. Trust me they are few and far between but if you do your homework the sky is the limit
