Best Sign For Selling Property
I just ordered a Lease to Own sign. I'm wondering if I should have gotten it with the wording to say, Rent to Own?
Does level of neighborhood make a difference?
One of my properties is located in a low to average income neighborhoo. I was thinking that for that property I should have one that says Rent to Own, and for the other, which is in an upper middle class neighborhood, I should put out the one that says Lease To Own. I want to have the proper wording on my sign. Do you guys think the wording will make a difference?

I always say rent to own when talking to a client. I just think that rent to own is understood by more people. I would not use lease to own even in a "better" neighborhood.
No stats to back this up, just my own bias opinion.

I don't think the wording is society class specific but rather location specific. Around here no one knows what a lease-option is or a contract-for-deed. I ran an ad that said contract-for-deed and I got quite a few calls from people asking me if I would sell it on "just a regular contract". Needless to say I now say "for sale on contract."
Best advise that I have to figure out what wording to say is to look in the classifieds and see what others are saying.

To add another wrinkle to the discussion, I noticed in some of my internet research that "Rent To Own" is searched on 10 times more frequently than "Lease Option" and about 15 times more than "Lease to Own".
I agree more people understand Rent-To-Own and the term seems to be used more frequently (on internet searches anyway.)
