Bankruptcy Help/hurt

I have poor credit, but I would like to invest. It has been difficult to even get financing companies to talk to me after I mention that. I was told by one such company, it would be easier to file bankruptcy, then they "could"go from there. Any information would be helpful.
Thank you
Jeff

    Dear Jeff,

Slow down, take a deep breath. Don't feel bad, out here in California bad credit is pretty much the norm. But then every now and then a local flake gets a five picture deal and up he comes like he has risen from the dead. Suddenly a new Ferrari in his front yard.

My suggestion is that you start to clean up your act and do it all by your self. First you make a list and then you figure how to get all of these items paid off at enormous discounts but at the same time get them removed as if they were paid in the normal passage of time.

Cards, you contact them and try and work out deals to pay them off much reduced. You should by this time I hope have a job and are on your new first level. If you have IRS or Franchise Tax Liens etc. then you contact them and start the paperwork to get these babies reduced to tiny little monthly payments which you will make until you are in a position to pay them off once again at a reduced reduced figure about 10% in what we call an Offer In Compromise. But dont do that until you get all the other little goodies in hand.

OK start get the list post it to me on my private message post. I'lll will get you started. Relax this is America 2004. Everybody is up over their ears. Credit Cards what they have done.

But, it can be fixed. Takes a little time and a lot of patience and most important a thick skin!!

    Cheers Lucius
