Bank Or Investor?

I know some states are different but who would I call to find out what a house sold for and who purchased a foreclosed property?

I'm sure some part of my county courthouse but I don't know what area.

The sales date was 10/28/04.

Try the property appraiser, some counties have them online

Most Realtors and all title companies can look up what has been recorded.

If you want to do it yourself, you need the county recorder's office (sometimes under a different name). Just contact the county offices and ask for the department where you can record a deed and otherwise check the details for the place you live in. Once you have found the records you will be in the right place to look up other properties. If you try to find your own residence then you will know if you are looking at the records correctly.
