Bandit signs are the signs that are stuck in the ground at every intersection. If you go to www.banditsigns.com, then you will find an example of one.

Just a note, the reason they are called Bandit Signs is because in some areas they are illegal. But in my county you might get a call from the County's Maintenance Department telling you about a sign that needs to be removed or else pay a fine for littering .

To avoid this, in some places, we put signs Friday nights and take them out Sunday nights. That way county employees don't call.

We only do this in certain areas, the rest of the signs stay where they are until someone takes them out (lawnmower, utility company, etc..).

    Good luck, Dennis.

I always though they were called bandit signs because people made off with them like a bandit when you left them on public grounds! hmmm, learned something new!

One might consider posting them on telephone poles. Those are not county property. Also, if you place them in an area say between the sidewalk and property or parking lot, that is not county property. You might then get away with it. Do not put them on the stree light poles. That is owned by the county or city.

There is a local realty sign company where I live. They sell bandit signs.

Maybe you can find one where you are located.
