Attitudes...

>I have not seen this subject discussed; if it has I apologize for the duplication<

Has anyone encountered a 'defensive' attitude on the part of County Treasurers?. If so, how did you deal with it?
For example, some treasurers don't like the public being allowed to purchase liens; they would prefer that the county kept the liens and collected the deliquent taxes (and interest) itself . Is this attitude commonplace? I have run into it in two counties. In both counties the treasurers have imposed higher fees ( e.g., for transfers, redemptions) than have 'friendly treasurers".

I just started to researching tax liens,
and apon calling a neighboring county, she was very helpful and patient with my questions. Then calling the county I live in was rude told me to call a realtor and hung up.
