At What Point Do LLC's Make Sense?
I recently bought my second 3 bedroom rental property. I am interested in the LLC liability protection, but I have been told that it makes more sense once I have aquired a few more properties. When I only have two properties, does renter's insurance provide adequate protection, or should I go ahead with the LLC?
I think the cost an LLC is well worth it, then I live in "sue happy" california... Often, propertie are held in a separate LLC that a law suit on 1 property doesn't put the 2nd at risk..
Everyone has there own tolerence..
