This is the best book I have read so far that will cover the basics of getting started in Real Estate. It provides a clear cut, easy to follow, step by step plan for being successful in this lucrative industry.
Before you buy any seminars, packages, or manuals purchase this book first.

Is this more of a beginner book though?
I have read a lot of books and done a lot of research the past couple of years and would not like to read about the same old generic stuff but rather in depth detail about different subjects.
While it does provide an excellent overview to the real estate investing feild it does not go into the specific legal matters of purchases and sales.
I have found that I can get trapped searching for material on every detail of a real estate transaction. I spend so much time reading about what could happen that I am inside reading instead of getting rich.
The book starts out by establishing goals. Then takes you step by step through marketing, contacting, proposing mulitple deals and then closing the deal. One chapter called 'Bringing it all together' covers the legal aspects and insurcance matters.
However the real advice is its practicality. A chapter explains how you can get paid for purchasing a peice of real estate. This happens by asking for the first four payments on the exisinting mortgage when doing 'subject to'. This money can be put towards paying for RE lawyer to finalize all the details for you.

I have the book and like it. Perfect for somebody that's not sure how they want to start. Helps give you a plan of attack to get started.
What was your favorite part of the book? Did you find particluar insriation from anything said?

This book in my opinion is not for beginners. I have come to the conclusion that it would be best just to take a Real Estate Principles course at your local community college to understand the basics and terminology of RE. I don’t think one book is going to teach you everything, I think that with several books and visiting sites like this will help your expand you knowledge in REI.
