Chase is okay to deal with. It depends on your rep. I'm in final stages of a short right now. If you don't like the rep your with, hang up and get someone else until you find someone with whom you can develop a raport. (SP?)

    Hi,

I've been dealing with Chase on deal for several months now. They are S L O W!!! but otherwise no problems.

The customer services folks who answer the generic 800 number tend not to be very helpful because they really don't know what's going on with the account. They're reading file updates posted to the computer by the analysts actually working on the specific file.

Once your account is assigned to a PFS application analyst, you have a chance to speak with and fax the analyst directly. And when your SS application has been approved and the appraisal is completed, you deal directly and only with the negotiator handling your file. The people I'm dealing with have been great and very responsive.

BE WARN: On FHA SS they are TOUGH NEGOTIATORS and don't cut you any slack. In fact they squeeze you for more than the 82% FHA is looking for. I'm NOT happy about it but I understand their position.

Also, they seem to have a lot of cases that they are working on.

    Hope this helps. Good Luck!

In addition to servicing mortgage loans that they, themselves, own, Chase services mortgage loans for many Investors... including those that are insured by FHA, the VA, or Private Mortgage Insurors... each with different critera on how they are to handle a specific class/type of loan or loan portfolio.

It isn't so much the individual rep that you are trying to work with, but the type of loan that you are trying to short.
