Any Success From Bootcamps?

I started my data gathering with this website and I just finished Ron LeGrand's "How to be a Quick Turn Real Estate Millionaire." It certainly gave me the basics so I better understand the forums here. I believe in paying for education, as long as you put it into practice. However, I am interested in knowing if anyone out there is experiencing REI success based on the knowledge learned at Ron LeGrand's bootcamps, especially...Pretty Houses and Ugly Houses? Again, I don't mind paying for training as long as I receive my money's worth. I am very excited about this venture and want to gain the most and best knowledge as quickly as possible. Would I be better off purchasing John Locke's materials? My hat's off to those achieving success (and those trying)!!! Thanks in advance!

I bought John's course and it will give you the Info you need to get started. The best thing about his course is that if you run into a problem, you can call him on his cell and he will walk you through your deal!! You won't find that with any other guru courses out there.. Yes, spend the money on the course, it's well worth it!!

I'm a big fan of Ron Legrand. I've seen him live as well. However... If you're not ready to commit to a 5000 seminar, check out the listings for Ron Legrand on www.ebay.com. In particular I like the 3 cashflow systems course (about $500). If you buy them on Ron's site www.ronlegrand.com you'll pay 1495. After you listen to those and do just one wholesale deal YOU WILL be ready to do the bootcamps and start making some real money grin

    Best of luck,

Jimmy - I was looking at the bootcamp and thought the hand's on would be extremely helpful. I had also read reviews saying the bootcamps just lead you on to other bootcamps and do not give you much to actually move forward with, that's where my hesitancy comes from and also why I'm considering starting with John's materials. Have you been able to close any deals based on the education you received from
Ron's seminars? I'm ready to purchase the training and want to put my money in the right place. I'm going to look on ebay now but I also very much like "hand's on" training. Thanks for the words of encouragement!!

1 Vote for John Locke. It's best to have a single plan of attack with clear instructions, no confusion and a handy cell phone number.

I took a quick peak at a guru system and then decided that if you can find a good deal when buying low in real estate, you could find a good deal when buying low in real estate courses. $700 ain't nothing to sneeze at, but $5000-$7000? Calculating the ROI on that investment would keep me from getting deals done.

John's getting me out of the Landlord business, finally, which is exactly what I was looking for wink

    Mboy,

Just wondering why it is not possible?

    Thanks,

I think that buying the CDs or tapes and listening to them in your car is a better investment than the bootcamps. The audio material is much cheaper, and it sticks to the subject without trying to upsell you. It would irritate me to no end to pay $5000 for a boot camp and then someone try to sell me something else - and we all know that would happen.

I went to Ron Legrand's wholesale/retail boot camp awhile back and it was basically the same info that was in the course that you had to purchase before attending.

    LOL - Laugh Out Loud.

It took me a while to figure this one out.

I bought Ron Legrand tapes at a seminar for about $2,200, at the seminar Ron promissed the crowed, that if you do a deal in 30 days, and present proof the tapes are free.

I presented Ron with a proof for a property purchase and resell in less than 30 days, he lied, and challenged my credit card refusal to pay.

Information is one thing and being ethical is another, this guy didn't live to the words he promissed.

One can learn from any course no matter if the teacher just learned the techniques well enough to teach them, though not well enough to be successful with them themselves.

It is up to the student to make what has been learned a success! I see all the time students blaming the teacher or course material for lack of their success and even in this post this has happen.

Successful real estate investors are idealistic in nature; independent and they treat education like a dear loved one.

Most treat a real estate investing education like a cheap one-night stand.

A disposable package to be tossed into the trash once its contents has been consumed. With such an approach, it is next to impossible to spark the desire to learn.

If it cost you $10,000 to learn how to profit in real estate you can profit from it for the rest of your life.

A student of mine sold his car and cashed out his savings just to learn how to become an investor, his education cost was $7,000 he spent 4 days with me at a cost of $1,750 per day. Last year he made $300,000 and his net worth went from just under $5,000 to $875,000 in 12 months.

On the other hand I have had students that have spent the same amount and never do anything with their education and the sad fact is most fall into this category "disposable knowledge" sad but true.

I am not advocating this extreme sacrifice and no I am not advocating myself, but you have to decide as an Investor

What you are willing to do
What you are willing to spend to become a success
What sacrifices are you willing to make

Many seek opinions if A course works or not and it really does not matter, what matters is will you make it work! Consider that around 90% who take a course or read about real estate investing fail because they do nothing with it. So this will show you what kind of opinions you will get.

I allow a percent of my business budget just for education!

Start out small read all you can about real estate investing, when you have determined what direction you want to go take a course or two on the subject and than start your business.

Real estate investing is not a cheap one-night stand; it's a life long commitment.

If you are looking for a good course on creative real estate investing you should look into John Lock's Sub 2, I know this man, I know his teachings are tried and true and it will work for you if you let it.

His course will not make you successful but it does provide you the keys to success. It's up to you to use them or not?

WOW! I think I just wrote a commercial! LOL
