I have found that working out with a partner can be very motivating. Also, if you go to the gym, group classes can motivate you. There are some good classes for men too, Les Mills "Body Pump" is a butt-stomper.

I think wealth, when contrasted with rich, is often used to refer to the intangible things- "health is your only real wealth" being a good example. Rich refers strictly to money and what money can buy.
True wealth is good friends, a good relationship, health, a pleasant environment, ample recreational and educational opportunities, good food, artistic expression, freedom, ability to help others, and most importantly the time to enjoy all of this. People focused on becoming "rich" often have a lot of things (crap) but no time to actually live as opposed to making money- plus they often live in a less than ideal environment because there is money to be made there.
Sadly, in writing this I realize I have gone from a life of wealth to one of trying to get rich. At least I understand the difference, and went into it with open eyes, realizing I was going to give up a lot in order to create an income stream, and supposedly just doing it for a limited time. So many people just live this way forever, never understanding how much better life can be when it is not defined by how much money you have.
so true Chris...my dad was a self made man of very good means...at 45 he developed a rare type of bone cancer in 1962 that necessitated the removal of 1 eye...one night while helping him irrigate that eye he stated "for my health i would work the rest of my life for $50.00 a week"....this was coming from a man that raised us in the best part of the city, built a business that was the largest in Canada in his field at that time...we wanted for nothing...I never forgot that statement...it made me realize that without your health you have nothing...just thought i would share...regards, CWal
