Also Getting Paid A Negotiator Fee!
Hi, I have completed many short-sales and am working on a bunch at the moment. I have heard from a few people in the past that they get paid a "negotiator fee" almost like a real estate agent would get paid. Now, with a short-sale the bank would be paying the agent comission obviously. Ive been told when drawing up your preliminary HUD that i can put a 1% negotiation fee on there for the service of me actually doign a short-sale. The bank will then cut a check to my company for the service.
My question is, does anybody use this method to make that little extra money off the deal on here? I want to know when and how you get paid. After closing will you receive your check in the mail?
thanks,
Yeah, but, the money is coming from somewhere so it comes out of the proceeds of the banks net i guess. Which doesnt really make sense because I am getting all of the proceeds..oh well
