Agreement For Deed?

I have read many posts & articles that said that you should "put the property under contract", mostly referring to flips. My question is is this the same as an Agreement for Deed or an Assignment? Are these all the same or differenct or am I confusing apples with mufflers?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

To get a property under contract ,have the seller sign an purchase and sells agreement. meaning you have the rights to purchase that property.

On the purchase for sale agreement you can sign your name then add and or assignee on the agreement.

    reibyme,

Thanks! So does an Agreement for Deed mean that they just agree to grant me the deed once certain terms are met?
    Also, any info on Assignment?

    Thanks again
