Address Service Requested

I read somewhere that every piece of mail to a homeowner should have "address service requested" printed on it. Two questions: Should this be printed on letters and postcards? Second question: Where should it be located on the mailing?

Thanks

If you are wanting to locate the property owner of a recently abandoned property then writing "Forwarding address requested" on your mail will return you the address. However I don’t chase recently abandoned property...

I haven’t found the result worth the chase.

And my postcards are the last item that I mail so I don’t waste space by including my return address.

    FYI

I currently mail 5 items to each prospect group.

    Day 1 Professional Letter
    Day 5 Check Letter
    Day 8 Mary Letter
    Day 13 Post card
    Day 30 postcard

    BTW these are business days....
