Abandoning Mobile Home

have to abandon mobile home due to poor park conditions..what legal rights due I have to do this and what happens now will the dealer just take the mobile back?

    Sounds to me like you have this unit financed. If so, the dealer will do absolutely nothing, unless he is lien holder. More than likely you have it financed by a bank or finance company. If you abandon the property they will eventually repossess it and sell it at auction. Lets say that you owe $30,000 on the mobile home and it is sold at auction for $15,000.00. You will be sued for the deficiency amount and be required to pay it. You will also be liable for all expenses including repossession fees, storage fees, court and legal fees and auction fees not too mention the unpaid park fees. Remember that a repossession stays on your credit for 7 years.
    If the reason you are abandoning the property is poor park conditions, why not just move the unit to another park?
