Abandoned Personalty
Generally the law is that tenant-abandoned personal property, after vacation of premises by tenant, becomes the prop of the landlord.
I'd check the CA statutes (CCC's), do an index search in this order: Real Estate, then Landlord-Tenant, then Abandoned Personalty...and you should find the right statute quickly.
Easy to do a Statute search online...just go go search engine, put in "CA Statutes", and you'll be looking at the State's site very quickly.
Suggest that next time you might want to put legal topic in Legal Forum, as somebody in CA who knows the CCC on the subject will probably see and respond quickly.
