Abandoned Personal Property
I'm in CA talking with an out of town seller, has a property they will sell cheap. Had a tenant in the house that quit paying rent and voluntarily abandoned the property 80 days ago. Left all kinds of stuff: furniture, clothes, 2 cars. I am near the seller - the property is 3 hours away.
What does the owner have to do to legally notify the former tenants that we are going to dispose of all of their stuff, including the cars?
