2 Houses On Lot, Can I Split Them And Sell Them?

I'm looking at a property that has 2 houses on one lot. Is it possible to sell one of the houses and live in the other?

To see if the parcel can be subdivided, check the current zoning ordinance & map for minimum lot size requirements. May still depend on where the structures are located on the parcel. Also, talk with the municipal zoning officer about the zoning history of the property and explain what you want to do.
