1031 - Has Anyone Done This
I am interested in 1031 exchanges. I am still learning about this and want feed back. Pros, Cons, is this something people are actively doing? Someone approached me with an opportunity and I want to get independent info.

Please come on line and post just what the circumstances are that lead you to consider a 1031 exchange.
The purpose of this regulation is so that people can avoid tax for the time being on a property that has increased in value so that a big tax is due on sale. They exchange this property for a like property During the exchange there may be some refinancing of the subject properties with an opportunity to realize ready cash.
If that is your purpose just lay it out on a posting, we will examine it after you have told your goals.
